Looks like a few idols from Hinatazaka46 are creating their own manga… and Kaguya-sama: Love is War’s Aka Akasaka will be helping them out. This is part of a new manga collaboration with the idol group. The collab manga will be appearing in the magazine’s next issue, set for release on March 25, 2021.
Hinatazaka46 idols Miho Watanabe, Nao Kosaka, and Hinano Kamimura will each write a story for the magazine, with Akasaka providing the artwork. And that is not the first time the mangaka has worked with the idol group. Hinatazaka46 memeber Yuka Kageyama is also joining the cast of the manga’s live-action adaptation sequel movie, Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai 2: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen. The movie itself premieres on August 20, 2021.
As for the anime adaptation, the series is getting a third season, as well as an OVA project. The new OVA ships out on May 19, 2021. As for the first two seasons, fans can watch them in Southeast Asia via Netflix.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War follows a rich and genius heiress named Kaguya Shinomiya, who is in love with the student council president, Miyuki Shirogane, the #1 ranked top student in Japan. However, Miyuki is also in love with her as well. Unfortunately, both don’t want to express their feelings, as they believe whoever confesses loses. Because of this, both parties try their best to make the other confess instead.
