In her Instagram account, actress Daniella Pineda, who is playing Faye in the live-actyion adaptation of Sunrise’s Cowboy Bebop anime, revealed that they have now wrapped up filming for Season 1. The actress posted it with a selfie of her with a T-shirt featuring the original anime.
According to Variety, the live-action series will have 10 episodes. And for those worrying that Netflix will screw this up, Cowboy Bebop’s own creator and anime director, Shinichiro Watanabe, will be serving as creative consultant. Also, the guy who wrote the scripts for Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok, Chris Yost, is writing the first episode’s script. It was also reported that Alex Garcia Lopez is directing the first two episodes. The streaming service has gotten plenty of influence in the Japanese animation industry already. These include live-action projects such as adapting Sword Art Online into live-action and anime projects such as the new Ultraman anime, Kakegurui, Fate/Apocrypha, Baki, and many more.
Oh, and Ein will really be a Corgi…
