The Official Twitter page for the anime adaptation of Kore Yamazaki’s Ancient Magus’ Bride manga has announced that the series  getting a brand new anime. This new anime project’s title is The Ancient Magus’ Bride: The Boy From the West and the Knight of the Mountain Haze. It will be a 3-Episode OAD series, which will just be the first part of a new anime project.

Each episode will come bundled with limited editions of the manga. The first episode will come with Volume 16, which will ship out on September 10, 2021. The second and third episodes will then come with Volumes 17 and 18 respectively. Meanwhile, the staff unveiled a teaser visual for this new project:

The OAD will have a new story, which Kore Yamazaki writes herself/ It happens right before Chise enrolls in The College. The stories involve news of a strange new Wild Hunt, as well as a story which focuses on a boy named Gabriel. Kazuaki Terasawa will be directing the anime, while Aya Takaha and Yoko Yonaima are prenning the scripts. Meanwhile, Hirotaka Katou is returning as character designer. Studio Kafka will be serving as the anime’s new studio. Expect more details for this new OAD series to arrive in the days to come.

he anime is based on the manga by Kore Yamazaki. It follows a slave girl named Chise Hatori who has never felt the warmth of love in her life. This is until a mysterious “magus” with the head of an animal purchases her at a slave auction and tells her that he wants to make her his apprentice and then marry her.
