So… a loli vampire becomes a cosmonaut, and gets a mission to the moon. Well, that is the premise of Keisuke Makino and Karei’s Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu light novel series. And now, Shogakukan has announced that the series is getting a TV anime adaptation. It will premiere sometime in 2021. They also released an announcement PV as well:
The anime will be set in a fictional world where two superpowers, the Zirnitra Union and the United Kingdom of Arnak, are vying for power. There is a huge soace race between them, with both planning manned missions to space. The story will follow Lev Laps, a back-up cosmonaut for the Union that gets struck with a vampire named Irina Ruminescu. She is part of the new Operation Nosferatu, which uses the vampire as a test subject, with Lev overseeing Irina’s training.
The staff also revealed the main cast, and it includes:
- Megumi Hayashibara as Irina Ruminescu
- Kouki Uchiyama as Lev Leps
- Satoshi Hino as Mikhail Yashin
- Mikako Komatsu as Roza Plevitskaya
- Hina Kino as Anya Simonyan
Arvo Animation will be animating this new series, with Photo Kano’s Akitoshi Yokoyama directing. The original light novel series’ author, Keisuke Makino, will be writing the scripts, with Hiromi Kato doing the character designs. Expect the staff to reveal more details about the anime in the days to come.
