Japanese jewelers, U-Works, is certainly no stranger to working on anime-themed jewelry. And this time, they have teamed up with Mobile Suit Gundam for some shiny golden mobile suits. They will be releasing 1/100 scale models of the RX078-2 Gundam and the Char’s Zaku II (Zaku II Commander Type), and they will both craft them out of 24-karat gold.

Both statues themselves are well articulated, and are as big as Bandai’s Re-100 and Master Grade kits. They will release 10 statues for the RX-78-2 Gundam, and 20 for the Char’s Zaku II. The Gundam is slightly heavier than the Zaku, as they used 140 grams of 24 karat gold for it. Therefore, it is more expensive, with a price tag worth 3.96 million yen. Meanwhile, they used 1000 grams of 24 karat gold for the Zaku II statue, and it costs 26.4 million yen.

Both statues will also come with a display box with LED lights as well.

U-Works will be opening a special website for the sale of these statues. They will open pre-orders on April 20, 2021.
