Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S is certainly one of the most anticipated new anime this year. And now, the official YouTube channel for fhána has released a new teaser for the upcoming sequel anime! Of course, it teases the anime’s OP song by fhána titled “Ai no Supreme!”.
The video not only promotes the new anime, but also the anime’ theme song single CD release. It will come in two versions, which mainly just differ in their cover art. The “Artist Version” will feature the band, while the “Anime Version” will feature the characters on their respective covers. It will hit the stands in Japan on July 14, 2021, and will cost 1,320 yen.
Sound! Euphonium director Tatsuya Ishihara will now be the anime’s new director. He will take over the late Yasuhiro Takemoto, who sadly passed away during the KyoAni arson fire. Shoko Ochiai will now also be serving as the new art director, taking over the late Mikiko Watanabe. However, a few staff are also returning. These include Miku Kadowaki as character designer and Yota Tsuruoka as sound director.
The second season’s official tittle is Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S. The S in the title means “Super and Supreme Second Life will start!”. Kyoto Animation will once again be animating the project, with much of the cast from the first season to be returning.
The anime adapts Coolkyoushinja’s manga about dragons living in human society. It follows a dragon named Tohru who lives as a maid for an office lady named Kobayashi. Other dragons also show up and also start living with other humans or among humans as well.
