And now, Warner Bros Japan has released two new TV commercials to help promote the movies. The first video focuses on the relationship between Kenshin and Kaoru. In fact, it’s title is even “Kenshin and Kaoru”:
Meanwhile, the second video’s title is “confession”, and it teases the duel between Kenshin and new villain Enishi Yukishiro.
The main cast, which includes Takeru Sato (Kenshin Himura), Emi Takei (Kaoru kamiya), Munetaka Aoki (Sanosuke Sagara), Tao Tsuchiya (Misao Makimachi), Kasumi Arimura (Tomoe Yukishiro), Issey Takahashi (Kogoro Katsura), and Yosuke Eguchi (Hajime Saito) will all be returning. Joining them will be Mackenyu Arata as antagonist Enishi Yukishiro. Meanwhike, Director Keishi Otomo is also returning at the helm of the films as well.
Warner Bros. has confirmed that these will be the final films for the franchise, and it will be covering the final arc from Watsuki’s beloved manga., which is the Jinchuu arc, though it will have a bit of a different story. “The Final” will follow Kenshin’s conflict with the mysterious arms dealer, Enishi. Meanwhile, The Beginning will be a prequel of sorts, and will tell the story of how Kenshin got his iconic scar.
