Young Jump magazine’s 26th issue has some sad news for all you Kaguya-sama: Love is War fans. This is because they are announcing that the manga will be going on hiatus for over a month. Mangaka Aka Akasaka explained that he will be getting ready for a new arc for the series.
But worry not though, because the same issue also revealed when it will come back. According to the magazine, Kaguya-sama: Love is War will resume in Young Jump’s issue #31. It will be hitting the shelves on July 1, 2021 in Japan, with a new arc to boot!
Meanwhile, a new OVA will come bundled with the manga’s Vol. 22 tankoubon release. It will hit the shelves on May 19, 2021. As for the TV anime itself, a third season will be coming soon after the OVA’s release. Unfortunately, they did not reveal any further details yet. A sequel movie for the live-action movie adaptation is also coming soon as well.
Kaguya-sama: Love is War follows a rich and genius heiress named Kaguya Shinomiya, who is in love with the student council president, Miyuki Shirogane, the #1 ranked top student in Japan. However, Miyuki is also in love with her as well. Unfortunately, both don’t want to express their feelings, as they believe whoever confesses loses. Because of this, both parties try their best to make the other confess instead.
The first two seasons of the anime are now available in Southeast Asia via Netflix.
