Marvelous, which has adapted plenty of anime, manga, and video games into 2.5D stage plays, has announced their latest adaptation. This time, they will be adapting ONE’s Mob Psycho 100 manga once again. Its title will be Mob Psycho 100 ~Gekitotsu! Tsume Dai-7 Shibu~, and they have now revealed a new key visual featuring the cast in costume:
Much of the main cast will be reprising their roles from previous Mob Psycho 100 stage adaptations. These include Setsuo Ito, who played Mob in the in the manga’s television anime adaptation. Other returning cast members include Takuya Kawaharada as Teruki Hanazawa, Gaku Matsumoto as Ritsu Kageyama, Takeshi Nadagi as Dimple, Ryouma Baba as Arataka Reigen, and more. However, there are also new cast members, including Ryosei Tanaka as Megumu Koyama. He will be replacing Kazunari for the role.
Keita Kawajiri will be both directing the play, as well as writing its story. The play itself will run at the Hulic Hall in Tokyo from August 6 to 15, 2021. This will serve as the third 2.5D play for the hilarious franchise about a boy with overpowered psychic powers.
