Looks like we are getting a fourth (technically the fifth) life-size Gundam statue. During the 1st Gundam Conference, the Bandai Namco Group revealed that they’re planning to erect a new life-size Gundam statue. Chief Gundam Officer Kouji Fujiwara revealed that the project for this new life-size Gundam has already launched.
It’s still unclear which Gundam will be getting the life-size treatment this time around. And it certainly has fans talking. However, Bandai Namco will be revealing more details about the project this autumn during the 2nd Gundam Conference.
It will join the life-size Unicorn Gundam in Odaiba, the moving RX-78-2 Gundam in Yokohama, and the brand new yet ironic Freedom Gundam in Shanghai. Right now, we still don’t know where this Gundam will appear yet, but expect the 2nd Gundam Conference to reveal more details in the days to come.
This will become the 5th life-size Gundm statue, the first being the unmoving RX-78-2 Gundam statue, which the life-size Unicorn Gundam replaced in Odaiba.
