Comic-Con continued their Comic-Con @ Home panels this year. And during their stream, they featured a Dragon Ball panel which included Goku’s seiyuu, Masako Nozawa, Dragon Ball manga editor Akio Iyoku, and Dragon Ball series producer Norihiro Hayashida. It also featured Hironobu Kageyama performing “Chala-Head-Chala”. The stream also revealed that the second movie’s title is Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
According to the stream, the movie will use different kinds of technology to display visual expression. It will also feature new original characters, as well as some familiar ones returning from previous Dragon Ball anime.
Mangaka Akira Toriyama himself is writing the movie’s screenplay, as well as serving as character designer. And much like previous Dragon Ball anime, Toei Animation will also be producing this new movie. It will premiere sometime in 2022, with an international release also in the works.
