Eiichiro Oda, Hajime Isayama, Naoko Takeuchi, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko To Draw Illustrations for the Olympics
It looks like the Olympics will be pushing through this summer, even with the COVID-19 Pandemic worsening in Japan. And as we inch closer to the games, the Tokyo Olympic committee has revealed the new Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 Official Programme book. There, it revealed that four very famous mangaka have contributed artworks for that very book. They are Eiichiro Oda (One Piece), Hajime Isayama (Attack on Titan), Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon), and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (Mobile Suit Gundam).
Yasuhiko will be illustrating for surfing, Oda for Karate, Takeuchi for skateboarding, and Isayama for Sport Climbing. In addition, the book itself also revealed that renowned anime movie director, Mamoru Hosoda (Summer Wars, Wolf Children), has contributed to the book with an article.
The book has now hit the shelves in Japan. However, its English version will be releasing on July 21. It will feature the schedule for the games, as well as information such as venues, major records, and the big names competing in certain events.
