Ghosts of Tsushima has certainly proven to be one of the best games to come out for consoles most recently. And now, it’s getting a much-anticipated Director’s Cut! It features several updates for the game itself, as well as a new chapter in Jin’s journey. Sony has also revealed that they will be releasing the game for PS4 and PS5 consoles here in Southeast Asia on August 20, 2021.
The new edition will be adding Iki Island, which is one of the Japanese islands which the Mongols historically landed on during their invasions. In the story, Jin travels to the island to investigate rumors of a Mongol presence. Unfortunately, this also has some personal implications for our skilled swordsman, as the island forces him to relive some traumatic moments from his past. It will add new environments, new armor for Jin as well as his horse, new mini-games, new techniques, new enemy types, new animals, and many more. It will also add in new trophies to unlock as well.
And if you already own a copy of the game on PS4, don’t worry, because you’ll be able to transfer your save to PS5. The new Iki Island content will be available beginning in Act 2 of Ghost of Tsushima. Additionally, PS5 players will have access to a few additional new features: Japanese Lip Sync, DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, enhancement to 3D audio, improved load times, 4K resolution options and framerates targeting 60 FPS.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will launch on August 20 for SGD97.90 / MYR299 / IDR1,029,000 / THB2,290 / PHP3,490 on PS5 and SGD79.90 / MYR249 / IDR879,000 / THB1,990 / PHP2,990 on PS4.
