This Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is most certainly one of the most anticipated anime right now. It was supposed to premiere this October 2021, with several distributors about to air it in their respective regions. Unfortunately, the anime’s official website has revealed that they’re now delaying the return of Naofumi. They are postponing its premiere to April 2021.
Unfortunately, the official website has not revealed why they are delaying the anime. It could be various reasons, such as the usual production delays, as well as Japan’s latest COVID-19 emergency. But for now, they’re not telling us why exactly. However, they did promise to announce more details in the days to come.
In addition, the official website also confirmed that much of the staff for the second season. Masato Jinbo will be at the helm of the project over at Kinema Citrus and DR MOVIE. He will be replacing the first season’s director, Takao Abo. However, there are returning staff members as well. These include series composition writer Keigo Koyanagi and character designer Masahiro Suwa. They also confirmed that much of the main cast will be reprising their roles as well. Of course, these will include Asami Seto as Raphtalia, Kaito Ishikawa as Naofumi Iwatani , and Rina Hidaka as Filo.
