The anime adaptation of Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband comedy manga is continuing… kinda. Netflix has announced that the series is getting “extra” short episodes, but they will be in live-action. They will star none other than The Immortal Tatsu’s own seiyuu himself, Kenjiro “Tsudaken” Tsuda.

Kenjiro Tsuda, who played the character in a live-action PVs for the manga, reprised his role as the yakuza enforcer-turned-homemaker for the Netflix anime. Each episode will be four minutes long. They will follow Tsuda as he attempts to learn some homemaking skills, like cooking and cleaning. It will debut worldwide via Netflix on August 29, 2021. Tokyo MX will then air these extra episodes alongside the first season of the anime on August 30.

Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband follows the daily life of Tatsu, who gave up his life of crime as a Yakuza enforcer to live with Miku. The manga follows him in his day to day activities, from fighting dirt and grime around their apartment, to the daily battles in getting those sale items at the grocery. The manga also inspired a live-action TV series starring Hiroshi Tamaki as the one and only Tatsu.
