Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is most certainly one of the most popular romantic comedy manga today. And now, it finally ended its 6-year run on July 16th. But worry not folks, because it will be getting its very own spin-off series in Pixiv’s Comic Pool digital manga service. Unfortunately, the staff have not yet revealed any further details on this spin-off yet. But they did announce that they’ll reveal more in the days to come.
And that is not all. Ichijinsha is commemorating the manga’s ending, as well as promoting its final tankoubon volume release, with three new commercials. Each one is promoting the manga’s 11th and final volume release on August 14, 2021.
The series received much praise from fans all over the world. It has received a Spring 2018 TV anime, as well as a 2019 live-action Japanese movie. The manga’s story follows Narumi, an office worker who hides the fact that she is a fujoshi. When she transfers into her new job, she runs into her childhood friend, Hirotaka, who proudly displays that he is a gamer. She also finds out that her senior, Kabakura, likes anime, and her other senior, Hanako, is a well known cosplayer.
