Ladies and gentlemen, they’re baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! During the “Hiro Mashima Fan Meeting @ Mixalive Tokyo” live-streaming event, they made a huge announcement. A New TV anime will be adapting Hiro Mashima and Atsuo Ueda’s Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest manga. Of course, its story serves as the direct sequel to Hiro Mashima’s own Fairy Tail manga. They also released a brand new PV for the anime as well:

Atsuo Ueda, who draws the manga, even celebrated by releasing this new illustration:

The story follows the Fairy Tail guild as they try to to do a special quest. However, nobody has even tried this quest, which The has been assigned to the guild over a century ago, since its founding. They call it the “100 Years Quest”. Well, I guess the “Power of Friendship” will be going up against a quest nobody has ever even tried…

As stated above, the manga really serves as the official sequel to the Fairy Tail manga. Mashima provides the story, while Ueda provides the artwork. As for the anime, they have not yet revealed any further details yet. This will be the first anime for the Fairy Tail series since 2018, when the series aired its “Final Season”.
