The original domestic yakuza is back! Netflix has now released a brand new PV for the second season of the web anime adaptation of Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband manga. The video announces that the second season will premiere via Netflix on October 7, 2021. It will be a global release, much like the first season.

The video also teases several new characters joining the cast. This includes Tatsu’s neighbor, Bob (CV: Tomokazu Sugita), as well as a rapper named Gouda (CV: Subaru Kimura). And yes, Kenjiro Tsuda will be reprising his role as The Immortal Tatsu once again, alongside Shizuka Itou, who will reprise her role as Tatsu’s wife, Miku. The staff also revealed a brand new key visual for the anime as well:

J.C. Staff will once again be producing the animation, while Chiaki Kon will be directing it.

Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband follows the daily life of Tatsu, who gave up his life of crime as a Yakuza enforcer to live with Miku. The manga follows him in his day to day activities, from fighting dirt and grime around their apartment, to the daily battles in getting those sale items at the grocery. The manga also inspired a live-action TV series starring Hiroshi Tamaki as the one and only Tatsu.
