Tatsuhisa Suzuki Replaced as Alan Stuart for upcoming My Next Life as a Villainess Drama CD following Cheating Scandal
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! will be getting its own otome game from Otomate titled Otome Game no Hametsu Flag Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei Shiteshimatta. It will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch on December 23 in Japan. It will also come bundled with a bonus drama CD. Unfortunately, due to his recent hiatus, Otomate decided to replace Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the voice of Alan Stuart.
Suzuki voiced Alan Stuart in Season 1 of the anime, as well as the ongoing season 2. He also reprised his role on the game as well. However, due to “various circumstances,” Otomate has decided to replace Suzuki with Yuki Ito for the bonus drama CD. Of course, they also consulted with the anime’s production committee for this decision as well. This is due to the fact that Suzuki went on hiatus. The official reason for the hiatus is that Suzuki is having “health problems”. However. the unofficial reason is that Suzuki was caught going on a date with a fan… while being married to AniSong superstar LiSA. Long story short, he basically cheated on LiSA and is now paying for it.
As for the game itself, it will launch on December 23 for the Nintendo Switch. Its story will be an original one. TThe game will follow Katarina and the gang’s graduation event. However, Katarina gets a new “death flag” when she meets a certain pirate.
As for Suzuki, the seiyuu/OLDCODEX vocalist recently posted an apology on his recent actions. The official OLDCODEX website previously stated that the vocalist will be going on hiatus due to “poor health”. Because of this, OLDCODEX will not be appearing at the “Animelo Summer Live 2021 Colors” concert on August 29. However, the band’s next single, which acts as the theme song for Free! The Final Stroke, will still be releasing on September 5th. The staff would then issue an apology to everyone, including fans and organizers. I’m Enterprise, which serves as Suzuki’s agency, has clarified that he is individually going on hiatus. They also announced that he has been in poor health over the past few days.
Of course, these announcements come as the cheating allegations on Suzuki intensify., The seiyuu/vocalist allegedly slept with a fan who works at a recording studio where Suzuki records his songs. Photos of the two would surface as well. The woman he has been seeing was apparently a fan of his before even meeting him. She was also not quiet about her relationship with Suzuki, and was bragging about it on social media. She even posted a photo of a hotel room key where she and Suzuki slept together in. These photos would then circulate around the Japanese entertainment industry.
As for LiSA, she’s slowly coming back from her hiatus, and it looks like she’ll still be as popular as ever.
