Looks like another domestic yakuza manga is getting an anime adaptation. This time, the Comic Elmo online manga service has announced that Tsukiya’s The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting is getting a TV anime adaptation.
The manga follows a feared Yakuza enforcer known as “The Demon of Sakuragi” Tooru Kirishima. Unfortunately, he has become so fierce that his boss needed to get him under control. And because of this, he forces Kirishima to become his young daughter’s babysitter. As for the anime, expect the staff to reveal more details in the days to come.
The original manga is already licensed for an English version by Kaiten Books. It will launch the first English volume on February 12. As for the Japanese version, it already has 500,000 copies in circulation, with Vol. 5 of the manga hitting the shelves on September 10.
